Gather up the fragments

John 6: 12-13 When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten . Jesus expressly told the disciples to gather up the fragments from the leftover of the feeding of the multitude. Perhaps the disciples didn’t see any need to gather up the remnant; at least a miracle had taken place, the people had been fed, so they could just forget about that experience because nothing else valuable could come from it. But they were wrong, Jesus directed that they gather up the fragments that nothing be lost, and eventually they gathered up twelve full baskets from the leftover. Luke 4:18-19 18  The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19  To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. There are many who seek to be anointed but no matter how hard they try to get the anointing they never have it. Could it really be that God is denying them of the anointing or could it be that there is something that needs to be checked in their lives? For the purpose of this article, I will refer to the anointing as God’s manifested presence in and through the life of an individual, making such individual to prosper in ministry or secular work.
