Faith and the Word

Rom. 10:17 (KJV) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Rom. 1:17  (KJV) For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. By now you may be wondering why several of our discussions have focused on the subject of faith. Well, the answer is really simple, the scripture tells us that the Just shall live by faith. Since there is no other way for the believer to live, other than by faith, then faith becomes a very important subject of discuss. This is because the more understanding of the subject we have, the better we are able to live our lives. The word of God is the foundation of faith. Faith is inseparable from the word of God because where you find faith, you necessarily will find the word of God. Faith and Hope

Heb. 11:1. (KJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Heb. 6:18-19 (KJV) That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:   Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; The scriptures describe faith as the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hence, it is impossible to discuss faith without touching on hope.
