I will premise this short write-up on the very popular scripture - John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (NKJV) The idea is to take a look at God’s love from a very simple perspective, and take out two important actions that characterize the love of God. So, let’s take a quick look at both actions; Giving The first action that characterizes the love of God is that He gave. God was so loving of us that He gave His son Jesus to die a shameful death on the cross to redeem us back to Himself. When you think of love, this must be the ultimate price and sacrifice that anyone could possibly make. The scripture says “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him”.
