Rich in Good Works

It was the Apostle Paul who instructed Timothy to charge the congregation that he was overseeing to be not high minded nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God who gives us richly all things to enjoy. That they do good, be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate. Our emphasis for this short piece will however be on the verse 18 of 1 Timothy 6. One would have naturally expected that since these people were already believers, they knew these things and were equally practicing them. You see, sometimes believers run after the seeming big things of faith and doctrine and neglect some of the basic instructions of scriptures. Interestingly, it is actually some of these basics that complete your faith. In Acts of Apostles chapter 10, we read of the story of certain centurion name Cornelius.
