The Lord does not delay [as though He were unable to act] and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness…2 Peter 3:9
Whenever we receive a promise or a word from God, we almost begin to expect same to come to pass immediately, and this sometimes is where the trouble comes from. When the manifestation doesn’t come within the time frame that we have set in our mind, we begin to doubt if really God meant what He promised or if it is that He is just not consistent in bringing His word to pass.
Many believers try to put up a bold face and a solid appearance, but these are real questions begging for answers in the lives of many. As we look carefully at scriptures, and even at the positive experiences of those who have gone before us, it is not hard to find out that many times, our estimation of time is not the same as God’s.
When God speaks to us, as humans, we try to interpret it within the sphere of our human comprehension, so that we can relate with it. In doing this, we also knowingly or unknowingly, attach our human time component to it, and sometimes we even go further to figure out the process by which God’s word will come to pass. So, it becomes easy for us when we have done all these figuring out, and God seems to be slow, to make that attempt to help Him get things going. When we try to force God’s word to come to pass through our human efforts, we engage our methods and become desperate to fit it into our own estimated time frame. By the time we have done all these, we have successfully entered the reverse gear, and moving further away from the fulfilment of the promise. In the end, it looks as though God is slack concerning His promise when all the while, we were moving backwards when He was trying to move us forward.
The real secret to experiencing the fulfilment of the promises of God in our lives consistently, is to come to that place of absolute trust in Him, with the knowledge that He is not slack concerning His promises. God knows the way, and you are better off letting Him take the lead than for you to try to figure things out for yourself. When you learn absolute dependence on God, you will see how easy it is to count on His promises, it just always comes to pass without fail. Like Kenneth E. Hagin said “When we learn to enter into the rest of faith, we give the Lord the freedom to bring His plan to pass in our lives”.
If God ever made a promise to you, you can be certain that He will definitely bring it to pass. I know that this is a big thing to say, but the scriptures testify to it, and I have experienced Him so. It most likely will not come to pass within your calculated time frame, except aligned with His, and most likely not using the methods you may have envisaged from all your permutations, but you can count on Him because He never fails and He is never slack concerning His word.
Shalom!
Thanks Bro

The words were well articulated, highlighting the deficiency we experience as men when we try to assume how God's promises will come to pass using our limited human experiences. Thank you for the Word.
