Faith Speaks

Don’t keep shut, speak!

Many believers don’t yet grasp the full concept of biblical faith, faith beyond believing to giving action to what you believe, and the primary action of faith is speaking out what you believe.

There is no such thing as a quiet faith, you are either in faith and speaking out or you are just mentally accenting to the word of God. When the word of God takes over your spirit and you keep pouring on the word, faith will be birthed in your heart and your confession will show it.

1 Corinthians 4:13. We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believe and therefore have I spoken. We also believe and therefore we speak.

The Spirit of faith is a speaking spirit, and you are not yet in faith until you are speaking out what you believe, attesting to the word of God concerning you. We cannot overemphasize the need to speak the word of God when you are in faith, your mind in the natural will try to reason out your faith and give you a thousand and one reasons why your faith cannot work, and except your faith is a speaking faith you are likely to give up on it when those thoughts begins to bombard your mind. However, if you will speak out what you believe in faith and not in fear, your mind from where those thoughts of doubts emanates will keep quiet to listen to what your mouth has to say. Some people begin making confessions but then give up when thoughts of doubts begins to rise up in their minds, no, you shouldn’t give up at that point, rather you intensify your confession and bring your thoughts under subjection to the authority of the word.

The moments you are able to bring your thoughts in alignment with the confession of God’s word coming out of your mouth, you are set for the manifestation of what your faith is latching unto and it is only a matter of time before it finally manifest. If you are sick in your body, the principle holds, take God’s word and find out for yourself what it says about your health and start confessing it. At first it may look like you are stupid, but don’t be discouraged, keep up the confession until you have an inner image of perfect health, once you get to that point your healing is certain.

If you are broke, the principle still holds, take the word and start confessing what it says about your finances to the point where your inner image becomes that of a prosperous man, and you will definitely experience a turn around in your finances.

If you are having challenges in your family, on your job, in your academies, in your business, the principle is the same, take the word and apply to any area of need. Confess it till you have an inner image of victory in that area, then you are set for a manifestation.

You may have been cheated by the enemy for so long by keeping silent on your faith, but not anymore. It is time to get your bible and flip through the pages to jot down those scriptures that address your present condition and start confessing it. Like I said earlier, it may not be easy, in fact it will not be easy because the enemy will try to get you discouraged even before you ever get started and the process of uprooting your former thoughts with your confession of the word may take some time depending on how diligent you are with those confessions, but be rest assured that this is a sure way to victory if you will only stick with it.

Make a quality decision right now, don’t wait until another time, get your bible and a note to take down those scriptures that deals with your area of challenge and begin confessing right away. Your victory is at hand. I welcome you to an adventure in faith!

Find Your Place and Stay There

Like a bird that wanders from its nest is a man who wanders from his place. Prov.27:8 (NIV) One of the greatest advantages you can have in life is to find your place early and stay there. The challenges of life come to us all, but you may just find it so overwhelming when you are not in your place, as compared to the person who has found their place. I am sure that you have come across one or two persons in life who excel and have an utter sense of fulfilment in what they do in life. It doesn’t have to be really big sometimes, but you can tell that they are in their place, where they should actually be. You may also have come across some persons whom you will consider clear misfits where they are, and in what they do. The latter set of people are most likely not to be prospering as they should, or I should say, they have potential to prosper more, if they find their place and stay there. The same is true about your life. Sometimes you need to take a step back and ask yourself if you ar...

Two Things to Avoid to be Prosperous

He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster. Prov.18:9 (KJV) In my last piece, I talked about the importance of finding your place, and staying there to command God’s Blessing. I emphasized the importance of staying power in whatever God has called you to do or committed to your hands. In this piece, I will seek to drive the conversation further, talking about two wrong attitudes that will greatly hinder the Blessing of God from finding expression in your life. Our text says the slothful is brother to a great waster, this is a very dangerous company indeed, and always a disaster waiting to happen. These two characters can never prosper and attain God’s highest Blessing. You may be working hard and making mistakes, but you must keep at it because, the man who tries and make mistakes will command the Blessing far more than the man who is slothful. God hates laziness! Laziness can disguise in many ways; a person can be spiritually lazy, and that...

Updated: Don’t Bind the Brook, Don’t Rebuke the Ravens - Simple Lesson in Obedience

Over the years I have come to understand the place of simple obedience to the instructions of God, and the huge difference it could make in one’s life. I have also come to see how easy believers can be in disobedience, yet be able to cover up with some form of spiritual activity, then in the end attempt to pass on the responsibility for their failures on God.   This can possibly account for one of the biggest reasons why there are believers who seem not to be making progress in life in spite of their seeming spirituality. The situation is even more compounded when older believers who should set the example for younger believers fall into this group. The implication is that there will be a generation of young believers who cannot seem to find the proper alignment between the Christian faith and being productive in life.   The story of the prophet Elijah in 1 Kings 17, clearly illustrates my point.  The Word of the Lord had come to the prophet to camp by the bro...
