A Tribute to Pastor Harold Nichols

All the saints and angels in heaven rose on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, when Pastor Harold Nichols arrived. Pastor Nichols, age 93, moved on to his heavenly home having fulfilled a life of service to God’s people and ministry of the uncompromised Word of God.
Pastor Harold’s life affected people by encouraging their walk with Jesus Christ and the calling to their ministries. His faith and actions changed the lives of many who considered him their spiritual mentor. He was Kenneth and Gloria’s pastor for years and baptized all the Copeland family in water.
Pastor Harold was the first pastor to invite Kenneth Copeland to minister when the Lord called him to preach after leaving Oral Roberts University. That three-day meeting was the launching pad for over 45 years of ministry—and Kenneth and Gloria are ever grateful to Pastor Harold and his wife, Lou, for being their pastors, their friends, and their first hosts in the ministry of God’s Word.
Thank you Pastor Harold Nichols. We will miss you and look forward to joining you in glory!

Over the years I have come to understand the place of simple obedience to the instructions of God, and the huge difference it could make in one’s life. I have also come to see how easy believers can be in disobedience, yet be able to cover up with some form of spiritual activity, then in the end attempt to pass on the responsibility for their failures on God. Blessed By Association - Updated

Abraham by God’s calling had become a blessed man walking in the blessing. God appeared to him, changed his name and gave him the covenant of circumcision. You would have thought that all this will happen to just Abraham and his family, but not so, the blessing as we see it (Gen 17: 12-14) was also for as many as were with Abraham at that time. They came into the lineage of blessing simply by association with the man Abraham, they were to be circumcised just like Abraham, and came under the same covenant blessing. These people who were associated with Abraham at that time, including his household servants, enjoyed the most of the covenant that God Almighty gave to him. It therefore goes to show that there are associations in life that will forever set you up for the blessing. Doubt or Offence

Now, while John the Baptizer was in prison, he heard about the wonderful deeds of the Christ, so he sent his disciples to ask him this question: “Are you really the one the prophets said would come, or should we still wait for another?”. Matt.11:2-3 (TPT) When you read the text of the scripture above, it may appear like John was now in doubt of the same person he announced to the world. But that really was not the case, John was not in doubt of the messianic ministry of Jesus, rather he had taken offence. Offence can be a very terrible thing, because it puts a big wedge between you and God, such that you become isolated from Him. Many times, offence comes so subtly that even the person affected may not know that offence has crept in, until it begins to manifest in many dangerous ways.
